About

Born in Taiwan. Raised in the US. Professional growth in Japan.

Moses is first and foremost a writer and development professional. Starting his career in entertainment at the age of 17, he hopscotched back and forth between a blooming New Media age and the traditional features and television system. Entering ArtCenter College of Design in 2011 as a photography major, Moses quickly found even greater passion in the art of filmmaking. However, this was only just another step in the journey of self-discovery as he went through multiple transitions in the world of entertainment.

With formal training as a director from ArtCenter College of Design, he worked closely with television director Bobby Roth for many years, his mentor that was his very first professor in the film program. After completion of his course, Moses went on to become Bobby’s teacher’s assistant for many years, well past Moses’ graduation in 2016. Moses shadowed Bobby on productions such as ABC’s Agents of SHIELD, Revenge, Grey’s Anatomy, and many more.

After completion of his BFA in Film, Moses discovered his love for story development and writing. As an intern at Arad Productions (Spider-Man, Uncharted, Ghost in the Shell), he learned from the executives on what it takes to develop and pitch relatable and character driven features. After his internship ended, Moses then worked in production and post-production as a production assistant, production coordinator, and production manager.

Continuing his love for writing, he made several trips to Japan to find inspiration. There, he found not only inspiration for his first feature screenplay, he found a deep longing to grow and learn in the country as a resident. After completion of his screenplay, Kyoukara no Omoide (Memories from Today), he packed his belongings and moved across the Pacific. There, he began his journey in both personal and professional growth, learning the language, exploring the culture, and working with likeminded individuals. Kyoukara no Omoide is now in its funding stages, led by producer Patrick Cunningham (Martha Marcy May Marlene), and received seed funding from investors in early 2022.

Since moving to Japan, Moses has worked as a writer for LA based production company The Chinawood, as well the Japanese based NFT company, SBINFT, under the conglomerate of SBI Group Japan. He also continues to work in development as a freelancer for clients in both the entertainment industry and the tech industry, advising on how to best create pitch decks and bibles for their ventures. At SBINFT, Moses served as the Lead Story Producer on a manga titled, Magicae Six. The concept, title, and characters were developed in whole by Moses; art by esteemed illustrator, Stephanie Lee (GreyRadian).

In September of 2023, Moses will be relocating back to Los Angeles to continue is thriving career as a writer and filmmaker. Whilst seeking full time employment, Moses will be continue to be available to take on individual projects.
